Rezi, real name Alek Slon, has been taking in electronic music since birth. His mom an avid raver – his childhood was replete with artist mixtapes and merchandise, his home filled with the sounds of trance & drum n bass. By 13 he’d been gifted music software & began his journey into bass music. At age 15, a backstage conversation with Excision encouraging him to “never stop” is a memory he holds with a tight grip.

Rezi’s first professional releases began in 2018 with a string of singles & collabs on Play Me - including “Unfound” – a song produced with Reid Speed and featuring her first ever vocals. This track spawned a remix contest, his output an A&R position – then finally his Artificial Contentment EP in 2019.

While 2020 was a tumultuous year for many, Rezi spent it improving his sound & vision. After successful single “Cry For You” was released on Electric Hawk – he subsequently fashioned them his Rocket Power EP, which received support from Deadbeats Radio, Dub Rebellion, Wakaan & Power Grid playlists, Kannibalen Radio and more.

Into 2021, things got even more exciting with releases on labels he’d only dreamt of; Subsidia [Crème Brulee] and Gud Vibrations [Data Sequence] both received attention on a slew of playlists and many long-awaited dance floors.

This year also saw his self-released Reflections EP – a bright piece of bass music artistry – in which all of the music, merch and cover design was his own. Looking into 2022: more sought- after labels, collabs and shows are already planned.
